Wahoo

The cigar-shaped Wahoo is reputed to be one of the fastest fish in the sea, reaching speeds of 50 mph or more. Also known as tigerfish because of their distinctive markings, these powerful fish are highly esteemed for their fighting abilities.

The state record weighing 150 lbs. was taken off Ocracoke in 1994 by Kevin M. Elwell.
