Hogfish

The bright colors and long pig-like snout of this fish make it easy to identify. Hogfish are found on hard bottom areas and are an excellent food fish, reported to taste like a combination of lobster and grouper.

The 19 lb. 12 oz. record was taken by Trevor L. Capps off Carolina Beach in 2003.
